UNIX System Admin/ Production Support

Reason: The Applications Development team is building a New Portal for
the Lasalle/CashPro Web transition.

Description: Candidate will be bridge point for customers calling in
with errors. They will need to evaluate, analyze and identify the
problem and perform appropriate triage. If necessary, they will need to
escalade the problem to development team or other appropriate SME. They
need to maintain balance and manage triage in a calm and positive under
pressure.



Application Support Engineer will be responsible for the operational
support of mission critical, multi-tiered web applications running in
large, distributed computing environment. Responsibilities include:

* holistic understanding of computing infrastructure, applications and
support processes

* incident management - identify and analyze service disruptions,
restore service by leading teams of subject matter and business experts
to sound and informed decisions

* problem management - provide information and analysis to prevent and
reduce the number and severity of incidents and problems

* change management - provide business and technology-aware risk
mitigation for changes to application and environment

* technical documentation - document application and environment
configuration and workflow, service restoration procedures and processes

* tool building - implement scripts and tools for monitoring, data
gathering and service disruption prevention and restoration

* Highly proficient in Unix systems administration (Solaris, AIX, Linux)

* Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.(Unix, Networking,
DMZ, Firewalls, J2EE, Web&  Application Servers, RDBMS)

* 24 X 7 production Support

* Exceptional communication, organizational, documentation skills.

* Ability to follow stringent change management practices and policies
in a production environment.

3 - 5 Years Strong UNIX
