Indeed it was. I love GTK+, it's *so* easy to type arbitrary Unicode
characters.
My three year old even knows what an interrobang is... when he sees
one on the screen (hey, I use them when it's appropriate!) he runs
around and says "INTERROBANG!". It's way more amusing than it should
be.
Getting back on topic (kind of, for this thread anyway, sort of),
about the *only* thing that I liked about Win2k (was given the choice
of Win98 or Win2k back in HS—at least we could choose not to use
Win98) was that I could pull the drive out of the bay and take it home
and continue doing homework. Hell, I could even clone Win2k onto
another hard disk so that I didn't have to carry school property home,
so what I did was dupe the drive to a second one that sat in my desk,
and I carried my drive back and forth between my home PC and school
PC.
To top it all, I accidentally dropped that drive one day when I was
late getting to school, and the drive bay shattered and the drive
bounced several times on concrete. Of course it didn't work when
powered up next (*click-CLICK, click-CLICK* over and over). But WD
replaced it anyway…
