Not arguing about whether or not you feel comfortable with their TOS but
there is a legitimate (ie legal) reason for your birthdate. Please see
my previous post about COPPA.

If you feel uncomfortable about the birthdate, do like every 11 or 12 yr
old who has a Facebook/Myspace account does.
