I was amazed! it was easy to install ( just unpack). I had an installation of
thunderbird 2, so I renamed that folder, unpacked the new Tbird 3 into the
thunderbird folder, and it found and pulled in my existing configuration,
NICE!
the only problem I have now is, my current setup is to use fetchmail to pull
in ALL my emails via IMAP SSL to my local /var/mail/USER_NAME. Actually, now
that I think about it, that makes it easy. All I have to do is shut down
kmail, fire up Tbird, and my local user will pull in all the mails.

my filters started working for the few lists that it found email for, but I
didn't testing it yet with a filter that forwards mail to another user..

I tried E16 and liked it, but I don't think I ever got E17 to work... might
have to revisit that.
