I upgraded my Inspiron 1420 last week. Suspend and resume seems faster.
Network manager doesn't try to connect to nonexistent wifi networks when
I resume. I switched the video driver from EXA to UXA acceleration just
to see what would happen, and so far it's been stable.

What I find amusing is the constant addition and removal of my laptops's
intel 965 video from a blacklist that prevents compiz (i.e. "Desktop
Effects") from starting. It seems to switch with every release and is
back to being blacklisted now.
