[ale] Basic Laptop for presentations question

Resolved,

I had OO 3.0.0.6 and it wasn't working.

I upgraded to the unstable 3.1 beta 2 release.  Now working like a charm.

I'm running KDE 4.2.2, so that maybe why the latest version of OO was required.
