Does VMware mean ESX?
If so, stick to hardware known to run ESX.
I just bought a Dell T105 for $500 for just that purpose. No luck.
The install DVD won't even boot.
Now I'm looking at a T300 which is listed on the ESX compatibility
chart, but it has a base price of $2,276.
