Mr. Lightner,
Might I point out that this is the signature file for the person who
posted the message. It's not proselytizing, but a statement of faith,
and I might add, a blessing being bestowed on you should you chose to
accept it.
I might also point out that if many "old school" proponents didn't make
such a big deal about top posting, It wouldn't be at the top of the
email, but under his message where it is intended to be as part of his
signature.
