I just got done with a whirlwind distro trial (F9, Slack, OpenSUSE)
before going back to Ubuntu 8.04 (KDE 4). Release notes say that they
replaced pruit with packagekit. http://www.packagekit.org/pk-using.html
says to launch it use gnome-packagekit
but do yourself a favor and get yumex.
