Yeah, I've done that but it can't load the disks from my vmware install.

| Have you seen the page [0] on the Ubuntu wiki? In my experience step 3
| (Network Bridging) is already done for you. Step 7.2 covers the vmware
| conversion
|
| Below is my quick guide to getting started.
|
| sudo aptitude install kvm libvirt-bin virt-manager virt-viewer
| sudo adduser `id -un` libvirtd
| sudo adduser `id -un` kvm
|
| Logout and login.
|
| virt-manager -c qemu:///system
|
| Enjoy.
