Hi, I think that username/password access to a directory on a Web server can handled completely in httpd.conf instead of using .htaccess. I have heard that the hit on the server would not be as great this way. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Is there a good tutorial out on The Web somewhere? Thanks, Terry Bailey
