CURRENT NEED

The Data Services group centrally manages a variety of data centric 
products and services. These services are provided using Redhat Linux 
based grid architecture comprised of a large array of servers, 20+ 
terabytes of storage and a five node Oracle 10g RAC database.

We are in need of motivated Perl/Java software developer to assist us in 
the enhancing of this architecture and development of these data centric 
applications. Development projects range from custom applications to 
reusable object-oriented libraries in both Perl and Java.

POSITION DESCRIPTION 

Responsible for the analysis, design, programming, debugging and 
modification of local, network or internet-related computer programs for 
commercial or end user applications such as materials management, 
financial management, HRIS or desktop applications products. Writes 
code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of 
applications using current programming language and technologies. 
Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. 
May interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary 
modifications.
 
SKILLS REQUIRED
Two+ years experience in Perl on production level scripts and modules, 
strong UNIX/Linux skills, and background in Java programming
