Possibly because a lot of the numbers and technology they are revealing are
pretty much obsolete. The pictured racks, for instance, are the earliest
generation models. The various numbers tossed around are off by at least one
order of magnitude as of several *years* ago, except possibly for the number
of datacenters. Jumping ahead to 2008, it wouldn't surprise me if Google had
more processing power today than any other corporation, intelligence
organization (including the NSA) or national-state in the world.

Hint - Using non-Google search engines, archive.org, etc. will yield info
and speculations on the inner workings of Google (ranging from quite
accurate to ludicrous) which Google web and groups/usenet searches will
often fail to reveal.
