[ale] Getting Linux on an old laptop with only floppy drive and 100 MB Iomega zip drive

Just a thought, I'm not sure if it'll work as I haven't tried anything 
like this in years, but. How about backing up the cd image of ubuntu 
onto the zip disks assuming that you have another linux system 
available. Then, I think puppy linux can run from floppy so download 
that and make a boot floppy for puppy linux. Boot the laptop with the 
floppy and create 1 partition large enough to allow a full restore of 
the zip disks. Then you could probably mount the partition with the 
restored cd image and run the install script. You may have to chroot to 
get into the Ubuntu environment.
