Not sure if my last post went through (mailer crashed), but I have used
both Iced Tea and GCJ, and they both work sorta.  IcedTea works with
more applets than the GNU plugin does, and eventually will work with
everything when the have all of the stubbed code replaced.

However, I, too, went back to a 32-bit system (yesterday, in fact) so
that I could use some applets that are absolutely necessary for me.
Given some time, though, the Java VM that Sun open sourced will
hopefully become usable on all platforms.
