That hardly seems accurate.

I'm pretty sure if Dell suddenly announced "we're not selling M$ any
more due to their anti-competitive practices" they'd be out of business
in short order.   Part of earlier complaints against M$ was that they
gave you a take or leave it agreement because they knew you couldn't
stay in business without them.   We'd all love to think that a vendor
selling nothing but Linux systems would sell them like hotcakes but that
isn't the way it is now.   Linux is making inroads against MicroSloth
but hasn't won the battle yet.

Possibly, but why did the vendor sign the contract with the product
producer (also a vendor)?   What you've hit on is the greed of the
middle man. ;-)
