My syslog and messages files are filling up with the following:

Dec 2 07:13:09 blackie kernel: [595826.225068] usb 5-1.3.4: new low
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 118
Dec 2 07:13:09 blackie kernel: [595826.304982] usb 5-1.3.4: device
descriptor read/64, error -32
Dec 2 07:13:09 blackie kernel: [595826.497037] usb 5-1.3.4: device
descriptor read/64, error -32
Dec 2 07:13:10 blackie kernel: [595826.687723] usb 5-1.3.4: new low
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 119
Dec 2 07:13:10 blackie kernel: [595827.103946] usb 5-1.3.4: device not

Dec 2 07:13:10 blackie kernel: [595827.183939] usb 5-1.3.4: new low
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 120

Also the kern.log has entries like:
ec 1 07:37:39 blackie kernel: [510995.807278] usb 5-1.3.4: device
descriptor read/64, error -32
Dec 1 07:37:40 blackie kernel: [510996.029419] usb 5-1.3.4: new low
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 45
Dec 1 07:37:40 blackie kernel: [510996.450152] usb 5-1.3.4: device not
accepting address 45, error -32
Dec 1 07:37:40 blackie kernel: [510996.530395] usb 5-1.3.4: new low
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 46
Dec 1 07:37:41 blackie kernel: [510996.949738] usb 5-1.3.4: device not
accepting address 46, error -32

Not that it is hurting anything, except if I need to look at the logs
for something, I have to sort out the trash.

The only things connected to this system are the printer and a USB KVM
switch. Both work just fine.

This is Ubuntu 8.04,
Linux blackie 2.6.24-18-openvz #1 SMP Thu May 29 01:58:55 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux

I didn't get any satisfaction from google.

Thanks,
Jim.
