[ale] xbox 360 Media server?

Has anyone successfully gotten an xbox360 to read movies or mp3's from 
some form of Linux media server?  I've started looking into it and found
a couple things such as mediatomb (will find my files but the xbox can't
see it) and fuppes (wont build on my ubuntu system).

Anyone have any luck with doing this?
