[ale] OT: Voter-verified paper ballot vote tomorrow

Many on this list have shown interest in the current Microsoft-powered
electronic voting machines not being trustworthy.  Based in the results
of the Johns Hopkins researchers and the in-depth technical analysis
by the California Secretary of State, I believe them easily to be
hackable.  The California study proved them to be hackable.

There is a vote in the U.S. Congress tomorrow to require voter-verified
paper ballots.  This would allow you to view (but not touch) a printed
ballot with your vote and approve it.  Thus, there is a paper record
of your vote that could not be altered except by physical access.
Recall that many people (of all party affiliations) follow handling of
said paper ballots to prevent widespread fraud.
