Chris,

Don't about your problem, but I've bought 3 new Intel CPUs in the last
couple months.  I think at least 2 different models.  Using 2
different MBs, I was getting "failure to load uCode, Hit F1 to
continue." .  After hitting F1 things seemed to be fine.

I upgraded the bios on the first 2 of these and the problem sent away.
 The 3rd just occurred yesterday with a different MB and I haven't
checked to see if there is a bios update or not yet.
