The best way to respond to this offer:

Hey... No problem.  Except, don't bother with the check part.  Tell me 
where you're Company seminar is, and I'll send my friend Vinny.  Give 
him the amount, in US cash, plus the $50, plus $250 for his travel 
expenses, and after six months (once the cash clears) I'll send a Vinny 
in a moving van with the merchandise to your house.  I'll just need the 
following: Your name, home address, marital status, drivers license 
number, two valid major credit card numbers, including expiration date 
and CVV2 number  (we will charge a small amount to them to verify you 
are who you say you are, to be refunded to you at delivery of course), 
home phone, fax, and email address.  I can reduce the waiting time from 
six months to 60 days if you can provide your mother's maiden name, your 
social security number and a copy of the most recent social security 
benefits statement, your passport number, and the electronic chip 
embedded in your passport, all of which will be returned to you after 
the transaction is complete.

YES, it is a scam.
