[ale] Q: How to make *.iso from *.io*, *.mds?

I think the .mds is a text file describing the .io* and the .io* is just 
an iso that has been split into multiple 1GB pieces. I'd try joining 
them together and mounting the result. Is cat safe to use on non-text files?
