Subject: [ale] Helping a friend select Firewall/NAT

One of the admins on another mailing list I inhabit made the following request:

> Is there a low hundreds DSL Firewall Router that will support 2 or more IP
> addresses on the WAN side and NAT and port forwarding on the LAN side?

I'm not personally a fan of them, but Juniper/Netscreen makes a few appliance web UI firewalls that support Static NAT and basically all the port forwarding you could want.

They're stable enough and easy to manage.

Has your friend looked at refurb Cisco gear? Maybe even a PIX 506E?
