I think that constraining their budget would make it so that they would
have to rethink what they are doing so that they can do things within
their means. The problem I think is that the government is spending
much like most of the middle class spends?because it can, not
necessarily because it needs to. If you cut their income by a
significant percentage, I think that it would force the government to
re-evaluate what they're doing and make things better in terms of their
spending.
Of course, it could trigger them to lose all logical thought, print tons
more money to meet their needs, and completely destabilize the dollar...
