[ale] gmail treating my alerts as spam?

All,
I have my backup script send me an e-mail every night to this gmail
account (success - failure - etc.)
It has been working for a long time, but in the last week or two it
started sending those e-mails into the spam filter. At roughly the
same time one of our people got "spam-virus" and we briefly got
blacklisted by a couple of the anti-spam database sites.
I'm afraid gmail flagged my gateway's IP and anything originating from
there is being treated as spam by gmail. Not a big deal since not
much e-mail originates at this IP (ie. most of it goes out thru our
ISP which is working fine), but I miss my notifications.
Does anyone know a simple way to reset or defeat the gmail filter?
Greg
