[ale] OT: Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD

I'm an audio freak myself. But a poor one :(

I agree with the wait and see approach. There is no way I will invest
a large sum of money in any HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player right now. The
market is too volatile. Even buying a player capable of playing both
formats is pushing it in my opinion. But it would be the only option
for me if I were going to buy right now.

In response to HD-DVD being cracked and Blu-Ray not. You might want to
take a look at "alt.binaries.hdtv", particularly
"alt.binaries.hdtv.x264". There are _plenty_ of postings where the
source material comes from Blu-Ray discs.

pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it
is magnetic to the corruptible. Such people have a tendency to become
drunk on violence, a condition to which they are quickly addicted."
