[ale] Updates

Ubuntu updates a lot too, but you decide for yourself if you want to install
the updates. I'm happy to get updates as they are available. Sometimes I
want them faster than Ubuntu makes them available. Automatix seems to pick
up the slack (no pun intended) on that point. I don't know how FC7 works.
Does it blast a message in front of you when there are updates?
