EliteGroup ECS P965T-A. It was on sale at Fry's last week, with a 6400
processor.

is there some command in Linux to tell you the kind of processor ( other than
just SMP) ?
I mean, I know what DELL supposedly shipped me BUT... I tried the sysinfo.zip
shell script, but it doesn't tell me about processor or motherboard..I'm a hardware idiot, no clue what that means ;(

Nothing that will tell you the mother board, but cat /proc/cpuinfo gives:

Unfortuantely FC5 doesn't give you as much info as some of the OS's do. Incidently this MB worked OK as an Xen dom0 system on a 2.6.18 kernel until I screwed it up by installing xen 3.0.4 overtop of the xen utilities.

Jim.
