Every morning "LogWatch" sends me an email listing what has happened
in the past 24 hours. This morning, for the second time in a few
weeks, the LogWatch included a report on Yum. Only one problem:
I haven't run <yum --update> in the past few weeks as this FC-3 system
has only minimal Legacy support.
This is the report:

---------------------- yum End -------------------------
But note that some, if not all, of these are OLDER versions.
For example, the currently installed kernel is 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3
and the currently installed glibc is 2.3.6-0.fc3.1 and not version
2.3.4-2 listed above.
If I am reading this correctly, the packages are _not_ actually
being "installed" or "updated", but I have no clue what is actually
going on or how to stop it.
Clues would be appreciated. If a line were somehow added to the list
of cron jobs, where would I look for it to drive a silver-tipped
stake through its heart?
