[ale] sshd problem

We used SSHD on cygwin at my last place of employment.  I don't remember
all the details, but there is some process to "add" users in the cygwin
env to the .../cygwin/etc/passwd file for this to work.  The users have
to be added to the "unix" environment of cygwin for sshd to see them.
The authentication is done on the Windows side.  Also be sure to check
the user shell after adding the user.  The windows catchall shell that
it adds in the passwd entry doesn't work.  You need to change it to
something like bash, or ksh.

the /etc/passwd entries look something like this:

username:unused_by_nt/2000/xp:122564:10545:aneal,U-DOMAIN\username,long-number:/cygdrive/c/Documents and Settings/username:/bin/bash
