done all that, and I found the instructions for edgy here:

this brought up the window manager screens..

how do you unreplace emerald if you don't like it?

this is for edgy, but SUSE doesn't have this option, I assume it will be in 
the session entry during the login screen...

of course there is a warning in xorg.conf to NOT edit this file, because it is 
administered by sax...
