[ale] Windows Vista - Way OT

I haven't found many things in Linux that you can't disable for specific
items if you wish. This isn't security in my view - it's a way of M$ to
control what apps you'll use. It wouldn't surprise me to find out M$
was charging a fee for apps vendors to get certified to avoid this
prompt.

It reminds me of Shareware that asks you each time it starts whether you
want to register. One of the benefits of registration (paid of course)
being that it no longer asks that.

It is a ***standard** *security conundrum: The more secure something
is, the harder it is to use. Microsoft corporation is faced with the
same trade-off problem. I've found that UNIX/Linux have their own
trade-off demand problems, too.
