And yum didn't make you want to kill yourself?  Imagine that...  :-)

 

Fedora/Redhat/CentOS are all much the same - Fedora serves as beta for
what goes into RedHat and CentOS is compiled from the source of what is
in RedHat.

I recently converted from Slackware to CentOS 5 after almost 15 years.
Couldn't be happier. Ubuntu is nice, but in the business world, Red Hat
IS Linux. That played a big role in my decision. No regrets.
