Sorry, I failed to mention Palm phones.  I was referring to AT&T's iPhone and the upcoming OpenMoko phones(CDMA only at first).  We're on sprint now and really pleased with the rev.a data...the blackberries have been a huge hassle, though.

Are you saying no other provider offers the Palm phones, other then 
AT&T?  I've got a treo 680 and I sync it with Linux.  I've also 
transmitted files to/from via bluetooth.  If your provider offers any of 
the palm os based palms, I'd look at them before blackberry or windows 
mobile.

I don't believe you'll get either the Windows Mobile or Blackberry to 
sync with Linux.
