[ale] Need suggestions in installing kernel 2.6.22.1 on openSUSE10.2

Kernel version: 2.6.22.1
No patches are chosen.

1) "make defconfig"  to generate .config

2) "make menuconfig" to load .config. Actually, I didn't set up anything in
the menuconfig. Even I chose to load .config, when exited, it didn't ask me
whether I want to save.

3) "make" to build.
   Sometimes it showed messages like this:
