[ale] Need recommendation for USB headset

I'm blind and I want to get a USB headset with the idea that I would rig up 
the hotplug subsystem to start speech  when I plug the headset into a server 
without a soundcard.

But there is a hopelessly large number of USB headsets on newegg.  None of 
them say they support linux. Has anybody got one that works well?
