Oooops... Looks like I was making some erroneous assumptions about
the usage and abilities of whois.
It seemed natural to expect the registration database tool to do a reverse
lookup when provided with an IP address instead of a URL, so that's what I
tried, as in:
whois 4.2.2.1
Since whois didn't give any "not found" or error notices when I tried this,
I was thinking the info is spit back was relevant.
My bad! Another proof of the don't ASS-U-ME mantra!
