[ale] sendmail not automatically starting on boot

also, assume you run level is 3, what if you run "/etc/rc3.d/S80sendmail
status"?  This, of course, is to make sure that the symlink be correct
pointing to /etc/init.d/sendmail, the real init script, and the latter have
the proper permission to be executed.
