I have Dapper on my TP, and Edgy on a test box, but I haven't tried
upgrading a Dapper host to Edgy.  That said, the first Google link with
the above error is this:
 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=1570988
which suggests that to do this:
 sudo aptitude install python-vte

Not sure if it will help you though.
