gah!  i also have had issues in the past with very large music playlists
and Rhythmbox, so i went back to XMMS, hearing it was not being actively
developed bothered me a bit.  i just did a little looking and realized
that there is an XMMS2 available / being developed.

my two main players are XMMS (via the gxmms-xmms GNOME applet) and
MP3Blaster (Terminal!!!), so if someone could give me a little feedback
on XMMS2, i would appreciate it very much.

what other small footprint players are folks using?  i want fairly good
integration and something that runs pretty light.
