Hi, BTW I agree with CHS, leave ti on..  Another tip-
if going to be idle for a while make sure it's well tinned in the work
area (tip) and just wipe with a damp cloth or sponge before reuse.

PS, I spent twenty years in circuit board manufacturing.  8-(
