No matter how it's done, it's still a license issue for Windows to be
used in a virtual machine.
A vmplayer in LTSP being used by multiple remote systems will still
require a license for each accessing node. A single license for the
hosting server is insufficient as each remote node uses it's own virtual
copy independently of the others.
