Well, I think I found the problem.  The power supply.  By Monday, the system 
was off, and wouldn't boot.  Oddly, if I left it off for "a while", the fans 
and drives would spin up for a few seconds when attemptin to turn on.  I 
swapped a working PS from another system, and *everything* seems a better.  
LA is a bit high right now (1-2), but I assume that's because of the raid 
rebuilding itself.
