[ale] CARS and engines

Ford made the 429 Blue Crescent engine for NASCAR, and sold the requisite
1000 for use on the road to make them legal. Is that the engine you're
thinking of? 

They put them in a bunch of Mustangs that would ruin a set of tires in short
order, if the driver wasn't careful.
