Just remember that 3x300MB drives doesn't come close to 1TB when used in 
a RAID5 config.  I have 4x300MB drives (3 active, 1 spare) in a R5 
config which yields me ~558MB of usable disk space.  I'm using a 
HighPoint RocketRaid 1640 controller (got it cheap at MicroCenter), 
which I highly recommend.
