Perfectly fine to do so.  In fact, that's why they call it the Public Key.  Spread far and wide as possible.  ;c)  To illustrate, I'll gladly send my public key to anyone on this list; I'd send it to the whole list, but I'm certain there'd be someone out there to ream me for it.
