[ale] Trouble installing ubuntu 6.10

Hi,

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 6.10 in a sandbox partition. I'm having trouble 
on the step where you designate which partition it will be installed into. I 
put the root partiton (/) on sda4 (20GB) and the swap on sda9 (2GB). But when 
I go to the next step it won't go, saying that there is no root partition 
selected.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour? How did you get past it?
