On a Dell PE6650 server running CentOS 4.1 when I attempted to remove
ipmi_si module, 'modprobe -r' hang and won't take 'CTRL-Z' seriously. I
killed its parent bash session, now init owns it. some old postings
suggested a reboot to fix. Anyone to differ?
