I found the configuration files in question:

<me>@<somehost>:~> find . -print | grep remote -i
./.kde/share/apps/remoteview
./.kde/share/apps/remoteview/<OK Windows share>.desktop
./.kde/share/apps/remoteview/<Broken Windows share>.desktop
./.kde/share/apps/konqsidebartng/filemanagement/entries/remote.desktop

I then edited the 'Broken' entry into something useful.
