[ale] vmplayer + FC5

I don't have the VMWare player. But my VMWare run OK on the stock
2.6.17-1.2157_FC5 on a 64-bit opteron.

I have had this issue before. There was a patch to the vmware drivers
that someone made that solved my issues. It is the vmware-any-any-update
patch found here:
http://ftp.cvut.cz/vmware/vmware-any-any-update104.tar.gz

Basically, the compilers are different between FC4 and FC5 and vmware
hasn't updated their flags yet.
